Boards, Commissions and Committees
Boards and commissions are advisory groups that work within the county.
Advisory groups provide guidance county programs or departments.
Board and commission members — for example the Planning Commission — are unpaid volunteers. Serving on a board or commission can be a meaningful way to participate in civic life.
Linn County welcomes a diversity of experiences and skills on our boards and commissions and we appreciate the variety of skills and expertise held by Linn County residents.
Contact Linn County Administrative Officer Darrin Lane at 541-967-3825 to learn more about serving one of Linn County’s advisory boards or commissions.
